Springfield NEA Executive Board 2009-2010

During the end of year rush, SNEA held an election for officers and at-large board members. Thanks to all who voted. The SNEA board meets the first Wednesday of each month during the school year. SNEA policy decisions, annual budget and changes to by-laws are approved by the SNEA Board.

Here are the officers and board members for the upcoming school year.

Four at-large seats and the offices of president and vice-president will be up for election next spring. The office of president is a full-time, full-release position on leave from the classroom. According to SNEA by-laws, there are no term limits for board members, though no president has ever served more than two consecutive three-year terms. Current SNEA president, Ray Smith, was elected to a three-year term in 2007.
